Former FBI chief James Comey re-emerged this week to weigh-in on the Attorney General’s assertion that the agency “spied” on the Trump campaign during the 2016 election; saying the bureau simply “investigated” allegations of Russian interference.
Comey was speaking with CBS This Morning when he was asked to comment on Barr’s explosive testimony.

“Yeah, I have no idea what he’s talking about. The FBI doesn’t spy, the FBI investigates. We investigated a very serious allegation that Americans might be hooked-up with the Russian effort to attack our democracy,” said Comey.
