It must bug you that politicians are saying America isn’t great any more.

Ok here is my answer. I will give it then I’m done with it. It was an affective campaign slogan. Campaign slogans are designed to get votes. It worked. But we were on a downward slide toward socialism before Trump. ISIS was still on a murder spree. Oppressive government regs were stifling economic growth. So we needed to restore some of our values. The campaign slogan helped him win which is the only function of a campaign slogan. To get people fired up. You have my opinion. We have more important issues than slogans.

Hold on a second, your answer brings up a lot of other questions. So Trump wanted to “Make America Great Again” but he didn’t believe it? Or he believed America wasn’t great before? Or that it was always great?

Also, if you don’t have a problem with Trump’s statements about “Making America Great AGAIN” as long as it is related to campaigning, then why do you have a problem with Cuomo saying it while he’s running for re-election? In the full context that he’s saying it, it’s clear he wants to get the voters out and get involved.

Wages went down 0.2% over the last year. Inflation is rising. That is worse than stagnation - workers are losing real buying power in the Trump economy.

You are over thinking this. Nobody gets credit or blame for our greatness. It took the sacrifices of many. It’s our freedom that did it. The U.S. constitution. Yes, he did. Getting elected was the greatest achievement of his presidency, and I have no trouble admitting it.
