Then why did those multiple armed guards walk away? If what you say, is life and death in the manner you’re dictating, why did those multiple armed guards desert their duty that had semiautomatic weapons to a lone ranger with a handgun? There’s a very serious crime here, whether you are big enough to deal with it or not?

You have the timeline wrong.
There were three Capitol Police at the barricaded door to the speaker’s lobby. They did not have semiautomatic weapons.
Under threat of the crowd, they were told that they could leave safely even though there was some chants of ■■■■■ the Blue”
After they had left, the rioters started to try to break down the barricaded door.
Remember… this barricaded door was the only physical barrier left between the rioters and some members of Congress.
It was then that Lt Byrd was spotted by the crowd as having a gun. Seconds later Babbit started to crawl through a broken window in the barricaded door and was shot once in the shoulder.
A Tactical team that was already in route when the three officers left… these are the guys with the semiautomatics… came to administer aid.
Given that there was a violent mob actively trying to break down the barricaded door and the absolute chaos of the day… Babbit breaching the barricade was met with deadly force… a thing that is highly likely if one attacks Congress.
None of this would have happened if Donald J Trump had not lied to his supporters.

A thug swung his helmet and broke the door glass in between two armed guards and in front of them all. The same glass Ashli crawled through less than a minute later after they abandoned their post.

Yes… three USCP officers were outnumbered by the violent rioters, but were told that they could leave and they wouldn’t be hurt.
Then they stepped aside and the rioters commenced to kick at the barricaded door and break the windows.
…and BAM…there’s @Jezcoe making excuses again.
