Bad analogy. There is no Covid or non-Covid area.

So then no one should tell you so they don’t embarrass you?

We are trying to make them all non-coved areas, aren’t we?

This happened in December. Before we could be vaccinated and when our state was experiencing a severe spike.

The CDC is poised to announce a new rule based on an extensive study from the University of Indiana at Peru City that beginning tomorrow it will be recommended that anyone that will be in public must wear full clown makeup or incorporate the clown theme into their mask.

The study has shown that when seeing people as actual clowns a maximum social distancing is achieved.

While the statistic of 0.00623% fewer infections may seem small…when you extrapolate that out to all 7.78 billion earth inhabitants it quickly becomes a significant effort.

Clown shoes represent a tripping hazard and are not recommended at this time.

Sadly, I believe you’d see about 12% compliance if they actually did post those new rules. We have real life examples of dumber. Like telling someone they have to run on an outdoor track wearing a mask.

It is only a small step from where we are and without clown shoes.

Samm messed up the analogy. It is a non-smoking area just like a mask-required area.

It’s not that big of a deal. Covid is transmissible through respiration. Out state has a mask mandate, the store had dozens of signs posted. People were coming into our space without masks and my daughter asked them to pull their masks up so we’d all be safe.

that’s it.

The way you guys posts, you’d rather go running or feel unsafe rather than talk to someone.

A lot of it are unrealistic scenarios. Here in NJ I don’t remember the last time I saw someone walk into a store with a lit cigarette. It just doesn’t happen. The town I live, the police chief made a public announcement that they would not be enforcing minor mask and distancing rules. I don’t, but I could walk into any store without a mask and there is nothing anyone could do about it.

That’s fine. I wear the mask because the store requires it. But if you were in Howell NJ, your daughter would be trying to enforce a mandate the police force isn’t willing to do.

Ok. But we weren’t. We are in an area where mask compliance was high, and people take it seriously. At the time we were not vaccinated. We care for an elderly family member, have another who is high risk, and I see older people at work all the time. We were taking our exposure to people very seriously and would not have gone out shopping if we didn’t have reason to believe people were taking the state mandate seriously.

But you have no control over others people’s actions. You have expectations of people you can’t control. That works at a red light or stop sign because you both have skin in the game. But not something like this. When do you ever see 100% compliance?

In case you don’t believe me.

If you were taking it seriously, you would have done your shopping online.

That won’t mesh well with the new clown guidelines.

Doesn’t make any sense with vaccines out for almost 6 months…seriously.

…and reduced stress by getting vaccinated.

Seriously!

huh?

Just the other day, I was picking up food at a restaurant. The kid behind the counter had his mask down under his nose. The lady in line in front of me politely said ‘would you mind pulling that up over your nose?’ And the kid said, “sorry about that…this mask doesn’t fit me well.” and pulled it up.

No big deal. No ig drama. No one had to leave, no one had to yell.

And I don’t think cops should be called out on every mask violation either. I think if we all just treat each other like adults, and respect each other and care for each other, we’ll just try to the right thing the best we can, communicate with each other if you have a need or concern, and stick this ■■■■■■■■ out and kick it in the ass.

Others seem to be too afraid to talk to their neighbors, or too polarized to hear what other people are saying about basic public health and courtesy and consideration for their brothers and sisters.

How is this any different than asking someone to stop talking during a movie?

Actually no, you are wrong.

There are virtually no cases of Covid transmission from shopping in stores with capacity limits and mask mandates.

I don’t know what you are talking about. This happened in December when tax rates were extremely low and our state was experiencing a serious 3d wave.

Really? How many cases have they contact traced?
