It’s just the flu. The mortality rate is similar. Face masks don’t help at all and hinder my freedom. The HCQ treatment is effective and only is being suppressed because Trump advocates for it. No evidence to suggest that having a packed indoor rally with no masks will result in any infections. We just need to let the virus run it’s course and the only people at risk are old people and our economy doesn’t need them anyways.

Uh huh.
When is the last time Rhode Island went to war alone. Or built a satellite to track hurricane alone? Or instituted an international travel ban to keep people from infected areas out?
ever hear of “enumerated powers”?

Ever hear of “sesame street”?

Is it comparable to “the Muslim ban”?
What is the difference between banning travel for terrorism and for a virus?

I do hope the deaths trend continues, but they lag cases, so 2-3 weeks from now, we’ll see what happens in AZ, FL, etc…
Hopefully these new cases are all young folks and they are properly quarantining. But our past experience would indicate they have already spread it in their communities and these upticks will ramp up sharply.

You can’t ban a religion. that was the issue.
But ultimately…and boy, I may have forgotten something here…was it ruled constitutional?
I think initially it was not, but then they re-worded the EO and it was? I forget?
y problem with that travel ban was Trump’s repeated claim that he was banning muslims. And sigfigiantly that he left Muslim nations like SA off the list despite the 9/11 terrorists coming from SA…
IOW, it was a sloppy mess, red meat for the base.

It could.
How would you have government address “young people”?

He didn’t. He banned travel from 5 countries regardless of religion. Hence the quotation marks. What’s the difference?
Trump didn’t claim any such thing.

Mandatory masks and social distancing. Close bars that don’t follow social distancing.
Most important - test and trace.
You’ll need databases to track people’s movement so they can be forced into compliance.

The difference is, it’s stupid to not include SA> That would be like not including China on a virus ban.
Also, once he worded it properly, it was no longer unconsititutional IIRC. So, no difference really.
Trump repeatedly called it a Muslim ban.

Yes you will, otherwise the infected will move about within this country freely.

If your state isn’t testing and tracking, take it up with your governor. Mine is.

Americans have more respect for their fellow men and women than to spread a deadly virus when they know they are contagious.
Have some faith in your countryfolk.

It would be more effective with a nation program and resources.
That’s a crock of ■■■■ and you know it.
Face it, anything you want to see enforced will lead to a newer, more virus-y version of the Patriot Act, more domestic spying, and more infringements on everyone’s rights. You’re being suckered, big time, all so you can feel safe with big daddy watching over everyone.

Which states aren’t currently doing it?
