Once the vaccine becomes available, common sense dictates that mandate will need to be amended to reflect that. If they don’t, I will simply have to take it to court, and fight it.

You won’t win. Like in the title of this thread, the vaccine is not 100% effective. Once the vaccine is being given to the general population I am almost certain the mandate won’t be lifted right away. If you and others start ripping off your masks that’s called a free for all. No one knows who got vaccinated.

Absolutely…and when they try prosecuting, I will provide records of vaccination in court and tell them to go pound sand.

That’s not going to work. A mandate is a mandate. You’re going to walk into stores with people that do not know one way or the other. You’re going to get into encounter after encounter.

I couldn’t agree more. Once these vaccines were submitted to the FDA, the FDA should have been working on them around the clock to either approve them or give a reason not. Meanwhile here we sit on our hands until December 10th when they will finally look at the Pfizer one, then give a ruling sometime after than. Ridiculous!

Don’t get me wrong, I am not trying to be a wise guy with these responses. I’m being serious.

I don’t know why you think proof of vaccination will matter. It won’t. You either abide by the mandate or law, or you don’t. There are no exceptions. Can people now prove they had Covid and no longer need to wear a mask? How is that any different from you getting the vaccine? You providing proof of vaccination does not absolve you of violating a mandate. It’s that simple. It’s a mandate regardless of mitigating circumstances.

Besides that, why would you want all of the trouble you’d be facing in every place you entered? No one is going to know you got the vaccine and continually ask you to put on a mask. What are you going to say?
