Not raising the alarm goes in direct contrast to the transcript. Like crying wolf, after a while you ignore it. Unless there’s a good reason not to ignore it, which would be what took place in the transcript.
But I do see your point. What could they do but wait and see if they reestablish contact. Like they’ve done in the past. It just seemed like they waited a bit too long under those circumstances.
