Billionaire Mike Bloomberg passed South Bend, Indiana Mayor Pete Buttigieg in a new national poll published Tuesday; placing the former Big Apple boss among the top-tier candidates.
“Former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg grew his nationwide support another 2 percentage points in the latest poll, bringing him to 12% just behind Sen. Elizabeth Warren’s 14%. The billionaire has doubled his support among Democratic primary voters over the past month, and though he initially struggled with black voters, he has more than doubled support with them as well,” reports Morning Consult.
“Warren and Sen. Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota saw no significant increases in support following their joint endorsement by The New York Times on Jan. 19, both among the overall Democratic primary electorate and among the paper’s readers,” adds the pollster.
