School shootings are something that happen in other places.

If you are going to ask your students to participate in active shooter drills, that means you are concerned enough about the possibility that you should look in the backpack of a kid who draws people shot up.

I think so. The picture of the gun on his Instagram and the drawing of bodies with blood everywhere made it unreasonable.

It should not have been though. The protocol should be to verify the student does have the gun on the premises. They had the parents right there and easily could have searched his locker and backpack to allow him to remain in school.
