It isn’t rational for black people to be afraid of state sponsored violence. Much more rational for example for police to be afraid of black people. Or to use her example, much more rational for me to fear for my white daughters lives at the hands of black men than her fear of her children being hurt by cops.

That’s true, but the threat to black men of being killed by other black men is greater than the threat to white men of being killed by other white men and considerably greater than the threat of being killed by a white man. Police violence is State Sponsored violence.

Does the state condone this violence? IF not, I don’t see how it can be state sponsored? If you work for the state but do something illegal, that doesn’t mean the state sponsored your illegal activity.

They are agents of the state.

If they were doing as they were directed by the state, the state would not have arrested and tried them for what they did. The moment they acted on their own and violated the law they severed their relationship with the agency.
