You seem to forget how many tens of millions Melania cost taxpayers extra because of her staying to live in New York so little Baron could finish school with his buds.
That and the millions and millions of cost of her traveling separately down to Marred-A-Lago all those weekends to meet up with Trump while she was staying behind in New York.
More, First Lady Michelle Obama reportedly only had 16 staff members her first two years in the White House, not all of them traveled when she traveled.
If you were paying attention you would know that previously First Lady Melania Trump had 9 staff positions filled and recently added three more to her staff.
Considering she has been doing next to nothing the last year and a half the real question is why she even needed that many?

You ignore the extra cost taxpayers shelled out for Baron to finish school in New York with his buds.
You fail to acknowledge the extra cost almost every weekend for Melania and company to fly to meet Donald either in D.C. then to Marre-A-Lago or for her and her staff and her separate security detail to fly down to Florida from New York when she still lived there after Trump took office.

According to the White House Melania had a staff of 12 as of February 1, 2018.
It really does beg the question of why?
She really hasn’t been doing anything to warrant that many staff.
Not Like First Lady Laura Bush and First Lady Michelle Obama did, both hitting the ground running and working on all sorts of initiatives and projects and their varied agendas.
Of course most Right Wingers are totally clueless just how busy those two First Ladies were from the word GO.

She had a full separate Secret Service contingent for her and one for Baron the whole time they lived in Trump Tower, just so he could finish school with his rich kid buds.
It isn’t as if she didn’t have her own Trump Tower staff already there for her that whole time. She wasn’t doing anything but killing time on the taxpayers dime.

Until you add in all the exorbitant costs to taxpayers of maintaining her and Baron in Trump Tower until he finished school and they moved into the White House.
Until you add up the untold millions of extra costs of flying her down to D.C. at times to meet up with Donald for the weekend, or flying her separately almost every weekend down to Marred-A-Lago so she and Donny could hob knob with their rich friends.
She sure as hell didn’t need any staff, not like she was really doing squat.
But of course you will never admit to any of that.

That wasn’t for 8 years. The fool didn’t even read his own linked article. That “ESTIMATED” $1.4 billion figure in his article was for the estimated “TOTAL” cost of the Presidency in that one year.
That was for everything, all the presidential official domestic travel, White House staff for both Barack and Michelle, the unreimbursed costs of their vacations, the permanent White House staff, chefs, grounds keepers, house keepers, maintenance, food costs for official functions, official overseas travel, and so on and so forth.
