The New York Times reported on the escalating humanitarian crisis occurring at the US-Mexico border this week; claiming the region was at a “breaking point” exactly one month after asserting there was no “urgent national crisis.”

While “fact checking” the President’s State of the Union address on February 5th, the Times declared Trump’s description of illegal border crossings as a “national crisis” as “false.”

Exactly one month later, the national newspaper published an article titled, “Border at ‘Breaking Point’ as More than 76,000 Unauthorized Migrants Cross in a Month.”

“The number of migrant families crossing the southwest border has once again broken records, with unauthorized entries nearly double what they were a year ago,” adds the article.
