NJ? This is a global pandemic. It requires at a minimum a national plan. The virus does not recognize state lines.

“Allowed” is the minimum requirement by law. Those in states without mask mandates were also “allowed”.

The moral imperative demands you do more than the minimum.

Are New Jersey schools closed today?

I agree.

Your actions and rationalizations say otherwise.

New Jersey has the highest deaths per million in the country still.

This is the daily new case chart as of this morning.

And yet “we feel comfortable with the minimum”. Comfortable enough to tell others what to do.

Then you should be following the strictest standards of any state, correct?

What on earth are you talking about?

Here are the current NJ regs.

Indoor gatherings up to 10. We don’t gather indoors with anyone.

Out door gatherings up to 500. We have gatherings of 6 at the most. Recently turned down an invitation to fire pit with firends because they had 12 people planned. Felt too much to us.

New Jersey is not the nation.

I’m beginning to see the problem. Is that based on science? Are you following the science?

Where are you getting your information?

CDC map shows otherwise.

I’m not sure what your problem with me is. You suggested that we should be doing more than then minimum, more than the state guidelines.

I showed you my state’s guidelines and told you what I do in my life that exceeds them.

Not sure why that upsets you.

It upsets me because we are all in this together and you are following feelings, not science.

Is that total? Yeah, we got crushed in teh spring for sure.

I remember vividly telling people on this forum about those in our town and those we knew who died of covid and no one believed me.

Now can you run that chart for the current 7 day average?

Glad we could agree.

You are mad that i didn’t go fire pit?

Can you provide that link so I can run it for the current 7 day average?

I can. I won’t. We already agreed and now you want me to help you carry the goalposts, no thanks.

Did you report them?

for what? They are allowed to have 500 outdoors.

We agree NJ got slammed.

Our mitigation efforts paid off, and now we are doing better than a lot of states, still worse than others.

Not sure hat this has to do with your rage at me not going to a fire pit.
