Honestly if I had a child who was transgendered and they were absolutely sure they wanted to take puberty blockers, I’d move out of the state to somewhere more welcoming.

We dont let kids drink beer, why should we give them the option to take puberty blockers. It will become like tide pods on tictoc and they will all want them.

Parent your kids instead of enabling them and you wont run into these issues.

We don’t let kids drink beer? Seriously? I was 16 the first time I got drunk. A lot of my friends were much younger. Same goes for tattoos and cigarettes.

What state did you live in where it was legal to drink, get tatts, and buy smokes.

Obviously drinking is not legal in any state, but it’s encouraged by society. Just watch any teen movie or see beer advertising. Tattoos and smoking are not really encouraged, but are still widespread and there is no way of stopping them.

If puberty blockers are made illegal, it will be harder for families to obtain them. But some families definitely will be able to. Shame on anyone who would report those parents to the authorities. Mind your own business.

Gender identity isn’t a disorder. It’s a setting on a scale. Gender dysphoria and sexual dysphoria are disorders resulting from false interpretations of reality. The cure is a correct truthful understanding of reality.

Gender dysphoria, previously gender identity disorder, has been in the DSM for over 40 years. It is no different from PTSD, depression and anxiety disorders which also have their diagnostic criteria in the DSM. To be consistent, the cure for all of those is “a correct truthful understanding of reality.” Like I’ve said, classic conservative views. They are byproducts of mental weaknesses rather than true disorders.

And yours seems a typical dyswoke approach. Deny any responsibility for one’s own condition. Blame someone or something else for a person’s misery and fight against that false cause on behalf of the unhappy one. It creates a nice co-dependent relationship.

Yes. The children should take responsibility for their own condition. Don’t blame someone or something else, like parents or lack of “coaches” for their misery. The children need to realize this is their fault and deal with it.

Lovely. I’m sure that approach works equally well with the other conditions I’ve listed. Especially when they occur in children. I guess we live in a time of weak children that want to blame others for their misery. It’s a shame.
