Exactly! But will states continue the mask mandate even for people who have been vaccinated? I’m leaning toward yes. Since Lucy shamed me, I’m not making anymore predictions. But as you so aptly put. It would be stupid to continue to wear a mask… We’ll have to wait to see if they are stupid.

I think as soon as the vaccine has been widely distrubted any anybody who wants a vaccine can get it, that is when mask mandates (and all mandates) will end.

Probably depends how effective the initial vaccines are. People seem to assume it’s all or nothing but experts point out the early ones might only be like 60%. I’m unclear what the exact implications of that for public health recommendations would be.

I don’t recall anyone, when HIV/AIDS were newer viruses, gloating about Magic Johnson or Greg Louganis testing positive.

Are you serious? When AIDS came out conservatives went on and on how it was a preventable disease and those who got it were engaging in dangerous and immoral sex practices and many implied or even directly stated the gays deserved it.

This only lessened as more people got it outside the homosexual population.
