nope because there are other mail/parcel/buildings/truck/maintenance included as the bill does not specify it MUST be used ONLY for ballots.

i answered now you answer. yes or no

Nailed it.

Thanks Sneak.

Ask the USPS board of governers, the 25B is their number

The $25 billion is equal to what was recommended by the USPS Board of Governors, a Democratic aide told the Washington Examiner

Did she say that’s all it would be used for? She didn’t? I’m shocked

ballots is part of mail. mail is not just ballot

a Democratic aide told the Washington Examiner .

Why are they passing the bill today.

And then they are having a hearing with the postmaster general on monday.

Shouldnt they have the hearing first so to know what’s necessary and needed before passing the bill

They previously asked for $75 billion but revised that down to $25 billion

Good question.

Pfffft.

The bill, which passed the Democratic-controlled House in May with only one Republican vote, includes $3.6 billion for states to pay for “contingency planning, preparation, and resilience of elections for Federal office,” according to a summary of the act. It also contains $25 billion for USPS to replace revenues “forgone due to the coronavirus pandemic.”

In other words. It’s not just for ballots

fwiw- The original USPS relief bill of $25 billion was introduced by Susan Collins [R]

Well, aside from all this, the USPS was extended a $10 Billion line of credit by Congress for COVID relief. Additionally, the Postmaster General reportEd that the Postal Service is “Flush with $12 Billion cash on hand”!
Sooo why a $25 Billion Congressional gift?

Too bad for you it’s accurate.

Correct.

Yes, that 10 billion was referenced by USPS as part of the reason they were then asking for 25 billion instead of the 75 billion they originally requested

It is a shakedown for pensions using virus as leverage.

Pretty clear.
