I wouldn’t call him a lightweight, and it was very obvious that he was interested in the presidency, and was a very well received guest on conservative programs.
While he may be “under investigation,” that doesn’t equal guilt, and as yet allegations against him are just that - allegations - that are unproven and consistently denied by Gaetz. I believe that those who saw him as someone on the presidential track may be trying to derail him.
He wouldn’t be my first choice or even my second, but, anyone can be investigated, indicted, impeached for anything. I am willing to give him the same benefit of doubt that I would want.

Neither of these statements are questions, but for some reason they both ended with a question mark. Does literally no one have cajones to just straight up say that this Gaetz is a trashy piece of ■■■■ who should never hold office and that under literally no circumstances ever should he lead this country? Those words shouldn’t be hard to utter without using questions makes to avoid making a definitive statement.

If we ever reach the point where Gaetz is the lesser of two evils running for president then we’ve also reached the point where this country is pretty ■■■■■■ and it doesn’t matter which evil we elect, we’re ■■■■■■■

Is Gaetz under investigation? Yes. If the investigation results in criminal charges and convicted - that is something that can be believed.

A belief that Gaetz is intending to run for President, also something that can be believed.

The two are not mutually exclusive. Hell there is nothing that stops Gaetz from running for President from Jail. I mean hell if a gaff machine with dementia can beat Trump** running a campaign from his basement - then Gaetz can run a campaign from jail.
