Not really, he was certainly old enough to know right from wrong.
Even if he does get paroled in 2024 under the new sentencing laws in VA he’s still facing six life sentences without parole in MD so it’s just going to be a lateral transfer from one prison to another.

The Governor of Virginia just signed a law that mandates parole for anybody sentenced as a youth. That law is retroactive and covers Malvo.
Consequently, Malvo’s attorneys have moved to have the case dismissed as moot.
The Supreme Court will likely VACATE the ruling of the 4th Circuit and remand to the habeas court with instructions to dismiss the habeas petition for mootness.
Can you clarify this? Are you saying that Gov Northam signed a law that gives him parole?

He could conceivably get paroled and sent directly to MD to start serving six more life terms with no parole.
