My observation is that reporting sexual abuse of males in the military does not fit with the agendas for promoting gays and women in the military, there is no interest in reporting the statistics.

What are the rates compared to the general population? That’s what tells you if it’s a military specific problem, or just a “some people are bad” problem. It’s a problem either way.

The “point” here was to paint the godless, liberal press as biased for reporting on the Catholic child abuse scandal while ignoring potential child abuse in schools. Yeah for scoring political points using sexually abused kids, I guess.

The media has spent a lot of time reporting on the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s report about alleged abuse in Catholic churches with many of the cases dating back several decades.

I would love see a similarly vigorous reporting about ongoing sexual-abuse problems and cover-ups in public schools that may affect thousands of times more victims.

This is not an either/or question.
