Massie - Constitutional hero or villain?

There’s another article in the article I found interesting? A dumb ass youngster made fun of social distancing and has now come down with a serious case of the virus, is greatly suffering…and has now wised up. :sunglasses:

Tennessee woman gets coronavirus after bragging about not social distancing

“Cool. I get it. I just don’t think that I’m going to get the virus,” Tate said in the video.

But just days later, Tate found herself suffering from symptoms associated with the dangerous bug and tested positive.

“It feels like someone is sitting on my chest at all times,” she said. “It’s really hard to breathe. I’ve coughed until my throat has bled.”

Tate said she likely got the virus from a pal in her group of friends and she’s now warning other young people to stay home.

“While it may not be affecting you, you could be affecting someone’s grandma or grandpa or aunt or uncle or sister,” Tate told the outlet.

Yeah, hilarious.

Kudos to her for being honest about it and trying to clue in the other clueless people out there.

The US now has 94,238 people with confirmed cases.

1,438 dead.

And that’s after two weeks of social distancing for most of us and “let’s party” for some of us…

FYI…

Yeah…I got my data from Johns Hopkins.

There’s a Tracking the Coronavirus in the Outside the Beltway form where I’ve been tracking our numbers going up and up since March 6.

Over 96,000 cases in one month. Of course that’s due to more testing. But if each of those 96,000 infected just one other person they came into contact with…

Nice! I had missed that. Thanks my friend!

For anyone else who was unaware…

A truly gut-wrenching proposition.

:flushed:

I completely agree my friend.

I’ll be surprised if there isn’t a million cases.

If it was a Democratic president, this guy would be the next up and coming GOP darling…

Well, not the libs anyway.

So how do I know if my rep voted for or against?

Me either. There’s 13 million flu cases this season.

And we’re at a 1.6 death percentage now.

1.6 of 13 million is…208,000 dead.

Flu on the other hand kills…

61,000 people per year on average.

CDC estimates that influenza has resulted in between 9 million – 45 million illnesses, between 140,000 – 810,000 hospitalizations and between 12,000 – 61,000 deaths annually since 2010.

Are we?

Right but remember…all the newly confirmed cases are a snapshot of who got infected two weeks ago…before we started doing all this.

Aren’t we?

Yeah, prior to that there were just suggestions on social distancing, etc… which most young people never took seriously because they’d been assured it was “just the flu” that would disappear in a week.

2nd most. And the titleholder didn’t get there because of his “principles”.:rofl:

If a Dem president tried to “force this socialist bill” down Congress’s throat and Massie stood up, he’d be the hero, darling of the right. Just like Joe “You Lie” Wilson was.
