Mass migration in the UK (and elsewhere) has not been the utopian dream that the liberals promised

Jericho is one of the oldest cities on Earth (settled over 12,000 years ago during the Younger Dryas). It is also the city with the oldest known defensive wall.

Defended borders are as old as civilization itself, and for very good reason.

It’s OK to admit that we have our own country, with our own cultural customs and ways, and that these tidal waves of foreigner do not need to be here. We should definitely address the failing birthrates in the meantime though.

Can we all at least acknowledge that this “migrant movement” is clearly being funded by deep pockets? Poor indigent people don’t just travel internationally through the civilized world on a whim.

Right and the fact that you believe that guns are and fence are only solution also shows a a mindset.

It’s bad that that is what is necessary but dumping millions of dollars into third world countries is exactly how you prevent mass migration.

Guns are of course helpful too. Always. But not alone

You must be freakin’ joking.

If this was true we wouldn’t have mass migration. We’ve been doing that for decades and it doesn’t work.

Secure the country first, then figure out how you can help your neighbors and to what expense. My personal opinion is we need to stop dumping money into the coffers of the corrupt, and instead focus on “works projects”. They need a damn we hire their countrymen to build the dam but we don’t just give the money to their government to build the dam.

Of course not and i am not talking about Ukraine.

It worked. Trump shut down the border in 2019. That coupled with negotiating trade agreements and foreign aid. Etc.

It worked. Just the policies being applied are idiotic.

Biden invited them here. That’s insane. You need a balance of guns fence and keeping the hordes happy where they are

No. He did more the opposite of what you’re implying.

He threatened to withhold money if they didn’t shut down their border.

That works but it obligates you to always be sending them money otherwise the “or else” goes away.

But I guess it depends on what you meant by sending millions of dollars. I assumed you meant sending foreign aid to better their home countries so they don’t want to migrate. That doesn’t work.

But if you meant bribe their leadership to lock down their own borders since we can’t be bothered to lock down our own…… well yes that can work so long as you’re always willing to send them money.

It’s most assuredly both.

You have to bribe the leadership or threaten to withhold but you also have to target the country. The imf exists for this exact reason and it sure as heck works. It saved Eastern Europe and in part with a crap ton of American money. L. That stopped the 90s migration from East to west Europe in its tracks

You keep thinking just about this instance of mass migration and that’s understandable but this is happening because only the money is being spent but the gun and the fence are just as important as the money. And inviting them here ya insane.

You are by the way incorrect. The USMCA benefitted Mexico in other ways that NAFTA didn’t. His bluster didn’t match his execution and that’s not a bad thing. That’s just politics.

Do you not know what we’ve been doing in these countries for the past 100 years?

Come on man!

:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

They are many countries who have successfully clamped down on illegal migration the problem is one side has done a 180 on border protection and it has to be done in unison.

They are things the right and the left are good at and there are things both are bad at. The left doesn’t need to be in charge of anything with the words migration and border.

They didn’t use to be this way Obama was nicknamed the deporter in chief up until the EO on Daca. Since then the left has made illegal migration a partisan issue it didn’t use to be. They voted in unison against every border measure Trump tried to pass.

Yes but you are making the mistake of looking at anybody through an American prism

What? I lived there! I saw the south to north view.

What conditions do you feel you can create in those countries that would make staying more attractive than crossing?

When people all around the world realize that phony asylum seeking can get you a free pass into certain countries then logically more and more people around the world are going to use phony asylum seeking as means to get into countries with generous welfare states if their leaders do nothing about it and even encourage it as Harris/Biden have done.

Why does misspelling confuse you? Is it because this is the first time I have misspelled a word so you weren’t expecting it?

Stability. Not looking to make them rich. Just stable. Everybody hated Chavez. He was a fascist. Millions of Venezuelans weren’t fleeing the country. Stability.

Chavez was classic commie. Don’t associate him with the ■■■■ storm of the also left that is fascism … they are bad enough without it.

How do you “stabilize” any of those countries from the outside,

No, everybody didn’t hate Chavez. In fact at first, they loved him.

They keep voting for them.

I meant outside the country. Most, not everybody. They voted for him because stability? In part?

You’re confusing me.

No, they voted for him because he promised them free crap. The same kind of promises US dems make.
