Mass migration in the UK (and elsewhere) has not been the utopian dream that the liberals promised

Like I said: it’s the Cleveland or beers.

Though the same amount of money in the ■■■■ holes they come from will do a lot more that bringing them over to us…

By clockwork do you mean that as usual your response had nothing to do with the post you responded to?

The market was down 300 points today. Does that mean you are doing less fine than you were yesterday?

So there ya go … doing fine is not measured by how the stock market is doing, just as I said. :stuck_out_tongue:

Immigration policies need to look forward and at economic and social realities:

Britons have suffered a slump in living standards, official data shows, as a surge in net migration wiped out any gains from economic growth.

So-called real GDP per head shrank by 0.3pc between April and June compared with a year earlier, the Office for National Statistics (ONS) said, suggesting living standards have slid backwards as the population grew.

Every industrialized country with a generous welfare state is coming to the reality that immigration is doing more harm that good.

It’s literally hopeless discussing immigration with libs as that term along with “multiculturalism” and “diversity” has become sacrosanct components of their ideology. The consequences of having an open border are essentially irrelevant as their belief in the efficacy of big government to bring about a better life for all is also a fundamental component of that ideology as well, evidence be dammed:

In the last two years, the migrant population in Pittsburgh has soared by 2,000%, and now it’s reaching crisis levels.

According to a Sept. 15 segment aired by CBS Pittsburgh, Charleroi – a borough nested along the Monongahela River – has been especially impacted by this influx. Schools are overstrained. Local stores are seeing less business because of crime concerns. And residents are watching their culture vanish before their eyes.

This isn’t an accident. Since 2021, the Biden-Harris administration’s immigration policies have allowed the entry of millions of inadmissible aliens at a completely unsustainable rate.

And I’m sure you noticed, he responded by accusing me of comparing those people to mud rather than addressing the point. They always deflect when they can’t rebut.

What figures were those? I googled but could not find anything.

The thrust of this thread has been about the ECONOMIC and SOCIAL (strains on hospitals, schools, housing, etc.) impact of immigration in various industrialized countries with high costs if living. And the only response from those on the Left here is RACISM, RACISTS, RACISM, RACISTS, AHHHHH!

Are you a girl?

Interesting post. Several things to think about.

Perhaps the differences in context explain at least part of it? Culture of origin for example?

I don’t think we get it as right as we like to believe.

Of course it failed. E pluribus unum.
