I am sorry that can’t be real. What’s the recidivism rate for murder. Just FYI it is the one of the lowest re offending rate

Oh bull ■■■■■ Boys thug because thugging is fun.

What is it for murder of complete strangers or for profit?

Right. Was going to be my point eventually. But wanted to start here.

Sorry methheads need to be in prison and have programs there. many placers do, but once they get out, they just go back to it.

I think more places should be like Utah. Indeterminet sentences. Like armed robber 1 to 10 years (just throwing numbers out, I know the min is 1 year but I can’t remember what the top end it). From there the probation & parol board sets hearings to determine when they will be released.

Agree with that one.

That’s what happens when jobs are lost to polititions who sell out the American people to Globalization.

There should be no repeat murderers because they should never get out.

Unfortunately some get out and some do murder again. Needless loss of lives.

The recedividm rate for murder is shocking low. It’s nearly non existent in cases of crimes of passion.

We have alot of people. Rates dont do justice to the victims. Let’s talk absolute numbers. How many murders by repeat offenders is OK with you.

That’s a nice Faustian bargain you want me to play with. No thanks.

Permanent punishment for a crime with an exceptionally low recidivism rate is wrong.

When you can just sweep all the victims into a statistic, such statements sound so very wise.

Your underlying premise that some crimes deserve life sentences because some small percentage of those who kill will kill again is just as immoral as bargaining how many lives are worth it.

People who Don’t commit mass murder who act out of passion who get behind the wheel drunk who don’t premeditate should not be in jail for life.

Wait until this one - sex offender registries are immoral and unconstitutional. They do little to protect children and have turned into a cudgel

I like that.

Give them rehab. In prison.

How much of the increase is from increased length of sentences?
How much from increased convictions?

That is because the definitions of “sex offender” that are codified into laws are subjectively determined.

“Death” is unambiguously defined by science.
