Your statement while true, is completely out of context.

Masks are predominately worn in Asia by the sick people so that they do not pass on their virus to others.

They are not worn (in any significant numbers) by the healthy to prevent catching a virus.

Having said all that, there are seasonal dust storms in Asia where sand (as fine or finer than our pollen) blows in over whole areas the size of large cities… Many will wear mask so that they do not breath in all that sand.

Actually they are pretty much worn by everyone so as not to attach a stigma to them.

My only point was not to say that I think we should keep wearing masks.

That is not true. Spent years over there. Yes some wear them saying they are worn by pretty much everyone is not factual at all. For example:

Nobody has a right to inject somebody with a foreign substance who does not want to be injected with it. If somebody gets Covid at this point, it’s on them. I’m not worrying for them. Nobody should.
