What they tend to forget is no one is saying you can’t wear a useless cloth mask if you want to on a plane, on a train, on a boat in a moat. You can wear one here or there, you can wear one anywhere.

You just don’t get to tell others they must just because you do, and feel they should too.

No, that’s silly. Made sense when restaurants were at limited capacity. But not at full capacity. Makes no sense. But on public transportation and theaters and things.

As long as you were eating and drinking on the plane the mask was not required. People made that bag of peanuts last a 3 hour flight.

I have been wearing the KN95 the whole time and never cared whether others are masked or not, especially now that we have a vaccine and therapeutics. There is no longer any reason for mandates.

I agree. But if we have another omicron size spike, I think we should have mandates again in some settings.

Of course, the basis for the ruling was the lack of congressional authorization. Why don’t they simply introduce a bill in congress rather than fight in court?

Yeah, it is good news. Not foolproof - some folks are struggling with Omicron, but largely, if you are vaccinated and boosted, it is a bad cold.

I’m actually not boosted. My wife is. Supposedly this variant is like 90% of the new cases. I didn’t see the need for the booster.

I don’t know the data on boosters vs. omicron. Maybe it doesn’t matter?

But I think by winter they will have an omicron specific booster. Probably worth considering that when it comes.
