I lived in Maryland (E. Balto County) for 37 years. I thought my home state of PA politics was rigged? 
I switched parties whilst living in MD. When upcoming Republican candidates looked like they could take a Dimbulbcrat seat, they’d redraw the district lines! Want a laugh, look at the Congressional lines of the 4th, 5th and 8th districts for starters.

Yes. I’m quite sure the president had no idea what California was considering doing when it was public knowledge and in the news.

Sorry. I left Maryland for good 5 years ago. My wife’s family is there and other than occasional holiday visits? I really couldn’t care less about going back. I’d rather go to my hometown of Pittsburgh and visit with family there.

Should set precedent for California changing their maps then, right? Or do you support them going forward as well?
All states should redraw their districts-if needed- right after the census is completed which should be done once every 10 years full stop.

The problem is it tilts towards Washington. Most of the state won’t be represented, which is a mission of the modern Democratic Party to shut votes away from areas outside their control.
