Trump can’t pardon state crimes

“The question of whether there was anyh collusion with Russia…was not presented in this case, period”.

“The judge agreed that there was no collusion involved in this case”.

Seriously, you are pretending that those sentences are not saying the same thing, and accuse me of “blantant misrepresentation”?

If then there was collusion in that case, how did it get in there when it was not presented in this case?

What nonsense you people go through just to call me names.

Yes, hilarious! I love it when criminals who are monsters and have profited off of the torture and death of fellow humans are allowed to skate for some of their crimes by arguably the most corrupt man to ever hold national office in the history of our nation. Such a laugh riot. Hahahahahahaha.

Man do I ever weep for some in our nation. :man_facepalming:

I called no names. Come on Doug. You are doing your typical shtick, where you try to downplay the gravity of the issues being discussed, because they look bad for the politician you like.

Separately, what are your thoughts on Trump now holding another record, for having someone from his Presidential Campaign, and his main man, the one in charge, the Campaign Manager himself nonetheless, being sent to prison for the longest stretch in the history of our nation, for multiple crimes committed before, during, and after the campaign?

False. I simply stated a fact so that discussions would be based on reality.

My thoughts are that everything Manafort did for which he was convicted was a spin off of his tax cheating (starting in 2006) and his work in Ukraine (same as Podesta)…plus his attempted obstruction.

Those have absolutely nothing to do with Trump or collusion, no matter how you press it.

No. You took something @ImRightYoureWrong said and took it completely out of context

Untrue.
Start a thread.

The fact that history books will write about how the 45th President of the United States will go down in history as having his Campaign Manager be sent to prison for the longest prison sentence of anyone ever connected with a Presidential Campaign in the long, storied history of this nation, will have nothing to do with the man who hired him, and promoted him to run his campaign? Okay…that’s one perspective I guess.

Personally, I don’t see that employers are responsible for the crimes that temporary employees committed in prior years, especially if they knew nothing about those crimes when hiring.

No it’s quite true, it’s blatantly obvious that the post was tongue in cheek. Or did you think they were asserting that squirrels were involved as well?

As long as they don’t reenact that scene from Midnight Express…

Judge: You have a 35 dollar fine for a parking ticket, please pay on the way out.
Trump: So, no collusion?
Judge: This is a parking ticket. We are not discussing collusion.
Trump: YOU HEARD HER!!! NO COLLUSION!!! WITCH HUNT!!!

5th Avenue Syndrome seems to be a real thing. That’s too bad.

Oh, and some of the crimes happened while he was the Campaign Manager, personally, for Donald Trump. Your attempts to minimize and downplay notwithstanding.

As for not knowing the crimes, is this a joke? Even us, here on this forum, were pointing out his criminal past when he was brought on the campaign, and his likely criminal activity continuing. If we anonymous internet warriors could know of his seedy, shady, criminal past, how in the hell do you expect us to believe the man hiring him to run his campaign for President of the United States of America didn’t know? Do you seriously think Trump is THAT stupid? And I’m the one accused of hating Trump.

6.5 years total if he does the whole bit?

7.5 not including time already served. But he should get paroled much sooner than that. And likely he would be pardoned even sooner than that.

However, I have a strong feeling that the NY case is ironclad, he can’t be pardoned for those crimes and the dude ain’t gonna leave jail for a long long time.

The NY indictment puts a hitch on that, though, since Trump can’t pardon that one.

Trump in handcuffs as he’s leaving to the helicopter would be a nice visual.

Six and a half years or not Manafort is done with the pending NY charges it’s all over he is cooked

He had the chance to do so, but he wont die on the sword just like Roger Stone wont. Must be miserable knowing you give up your life for someone who wont do the same.
