Madison’s view on today’s Senate Impeachment Trial ___ “tyranny”

It actually signals the process is completely afoul of the Constitution.

It is a waste of effort and not even entertaining since Trump sent in the legal interns.

Yep and in my opinion, their actions are criminal. Our current government has an evil streak that’s widening quickly.

They really are above any repercussions for it.

Should the R win back the house in 2022 they will be too busy saving the economy to pursue much.

I would make Swallwell spying a priority and get him away from secure data.

Allegedly Trump has the financial wherewithal to hire the best lawyers available to him. Presumably he chose his lawyers.

Trump is also smart enough not to waste money on a defense an intern could make.

BTW…The editing in the propaganda action video…exquisite…rivals Charlie Chaplin.

If you don’t know the answers to those questions, you need to catch up with what is happening in the country.

Never forget that our right to keep and bear arms is specifically intended to maintain an armed citizenry capable to defend itself against a despotic government.

They were rhetorical questions to highlight the changed circumstances at the point in time of his impeachment by the House of Reps and the start of the Senate impeachment trial.

You’re going to accuse me of poor reading? Strange, cause your concern was already addressed in this thread. The Constitution is explicit that the Chief Justice presides when The President is impeached. Now, you may not believe it, but Trump is NOT the President despite your conspiracy thinking about voter fraud.

its not that they are spineless. they put party above country. even worse

Do you think he should have been impeached for perjury and obstruction?

Seems today, conservatives don’t care about those things at all. Mere “process crimes”.

He was.

Who didn’t care about them first?

We know. I was asking your opinion.

I’d respond seriously but am less than convinced a good conversation would result.

Of course. He committed perjury and obstructed justice.

“Good”?

??

I don’t get it.

He won’t be convicted because the only thing being established at the trial is there were countless criminal acts participated in by a couple hundred rioters, and zero evidence of the President actually inciting an insurrection on January 6th.

As a matter of fact, we are now learning that prior to Trump’s event on Jan. 6th, plans were made by a handful of provocateurs to instigate an insurrection, and the warnings were ignored by Nancy Pelosi, even though the U.S. Capitol Police Chief request that the D.C. National Guard be on standby. But such calls were ignored by Nancy, Botox, Pelosi.

There can be no “unity” between today’s socialist and globalist revolutionaries who control the Democrat Party Leadership, and those who support a meritocracy and a free market, free enterprise system!

Of course it was being planned. They were there because Trump kept tweeting stuff about January 6 being a “big day.” And then when they got there, he told them to fight like hell. They came answering Trump’s call, and they fought answering Trump’s call.

Incidentally, there was also a group arrested for plotting to kidnap the governor of Michigan a few months back as well.

These are not the kind of folks you would want in charge of your security detail if you had one.
