I have an idea, let’s look at all the work done by the CDC and eliminate all of it that doesn’t directly relate to the stated mission of researching diseases and coming up with public health programs to combat disease and all of the funding for programs outside of their stated mission.

Will that do?

Health threats is also a major part of their mission statement, it is not restricted to disease only.

Not really they had the first test kits going out three weeks after the virus was identified and typed.

If I were going to criticize them on anything it would be for not shutting down passenger travel to/from China and other affected countries completely and much earlier but that would have been labeled as an unnecessary panicked response.

Remember when I first brought up restricting travel here I was derided by several as a nut trying to capitalize on this rather than making suggestions out of genuine concern.
