Louisiana requires ID and age verification to access adult content online

Is a system like this already in place for online gambling?

Didn’t say it was an excuse did I?

I have no problem making porn difficult to access by minors, however such restriction should not impede adults.

Therefore (a) parental controls should be easy to use, and (b) technology companies should imbed such ratings into content. The parent then sets up the parental control profile on the minors device.

It is illegal to allow children access to pornography. Your need for more control is showing.

Yes as @zantax pointed out it’s called browser fingerprinting.

It’s not a skill issue, no way a parent can stop little Johnny from showing little Kevin porn on his phone. As it stands the only real way to protect your kid from porn is to move to the middle of nowhere with no internet or cell coverage.

VPN, go!

And what about their friends devices?

And do we or don’t we like that?

That is a serious question, BTW

Like or dislike doesn’t really enter into it, it is what it is.

It’s upto the states to legalize gambling within their borders so i don’t mind that since it’s a removal of a restriction.

Seems clear that they (c) want the kids exposed. Look at them trying to force drag “queens” on school children.

Disgusting.

Hmmm… WW, I think this may be the answer. In much the same way it is the parent’s responsibility to keep pornographic magazines out of reach, they must do the same for online.

There it is.

Drag is not relevant to anything in this thread.

Stop it. You’re gonna get the (D)evoted (D)rag (D)efenders riled up again.

I am not very tech savvy, and I don’t internet gamble or look at porn. So I don’t know much about the security features, or what to think about them. That is why I solicited an opinion.

Are you good with it as a means to control minor’s access?

From a small government perspective, that would be the responsibility of the friends parents.

The parents of the minor would need to check with the parents of the friend. If the parents aren’t in agreement, then it is the responsibility of the parent to limit access to the friend.

Agreed.

Ya know I see some good intentions behind this idea.

But this seems like a HORRIBLE way to go about it.
