I don’t think anyone should be locked up solely for personal drug use. Selling it, is different. And the vast majority of people in prison for drug offenses are just that, not personal use. Only exception is parole violations.

That’s not true at all. Biden’s law specifically targeted use by lowering what volume constitutes intent to distribute and increased sentencing proportionally. Hence the fair sentencing act.

In my experience most of the people who get caught for selling are active addicts themselves. My experience is with opioids mainly.

In the documentary about the opioid crisis, almost all of the suburban dealers were users themselves.

What isn’t true again?

That majority are there for dealing.
