So let’s talk policy. Iran has worked with western countries and Israel many many many times. For business and political reasons. They were happy to deal with Reagan. They were happy to deal with Carter. They were happy to deal with Obama. They’ve been happy to deal with Israel. Are you unaware of this?

iran was happy to deal with obama, they needed time to develop a delivery system or the nuke they were getting closer to was fairly useless. getting paid to do it… bonus. jcpoa does not prevent iran from getting nukes, it just helped them to parallel track a delivery system. tis is not just about iran and jcpoa though, its about israel too. trumps policy was superior to obama’s, and its superior to bidens. keeping maximum pressure on iran kept hamas and hez b allah relatively quiet, it fostered trust with arab countries who fear iran more than they hated israel and led to the abraham accords. that in turn isolates hamas further which may have eventually got palestinians to see reality and negotiate in earnest and maybe, possibly got them to make a deal they’d actually keep… or for that matter actually sign after agreeing to it,

if you want israel and its neighbors to have peace, and don’t want iran to get nukes, trump had it right.

Yeah. Those ones who are working toward having control over a vital strategic area. The Middle East. But they aren’t crazy. They support and work with crazies(we do also by the way), but they want Iran in control of the Middle East. Not crazy. Political. Many cultures/civilizations/countries have done that. And they are working(in my opinion, smartly) about it. But they need Iran to exist as a country. Destroying Israel eliminates Iran. They know that.

Agreed that is a possible route to success. Not sure it has got us there in the past and during Trump’s years Iran advanced their nuclear program.
