That’s generally how it works. The less deadly a disease is the more likely it’s carrier is to spread it.
The faster a disease kills the less likely it is to spread.

At least they (usually) will put on condoms before sex.

Eating exotic animals? Have you been down south? Rattle snakes, frog , gators, squirrels , roadkills are eaten here in usa.
You need the masks because the lock downs still allow essential businesses, essential workers, and going outside for exercise.

Now I will give it to you eating roadkill is absolutely a horrible thought. The other things listed while I haven’t ate them personally are not what I would considered exotic animals. Unless one can show me were they carry deadly disease.
When I am talking about exotic animals I mean the ones that bring most of the diseases as well as the ones that carry diseases that have been proven to allow animal to human transmission like pangolins, bats, rats, civet cats, mangut, monkeys.
The list you provided I agree I wouldn’t eat but has anyone caught a disease from these animals. Some animals are known for carrying disease. Bats = SARS, MARS, COVID-19. Monkeys = HIV/AIDS. These alone has caused millions of deaths and they were all imported.
Gator tail IS delicious! That’s where most of the meat is.

They have concluded he exaggerated the threat of the new strain.
Once again European institutions are sorting out the mess the Tories have made.

Yes politicians act like politicians, but they know their target audiences well.
No political leader at the national, state or local level would have gone for it or promoted it.
The politicians didn’t follow the advice of “the Experts” no matter how much people want to believe it.
They instead sucked “the Experts” into their own political games.
