Considering that a large portion of the world’s business debt is in dollars. I don’t see the dollar going anywhere anytime soon.

You, totally accidentally I’m sure, have left out the near constant quantitative easing of the last four years and keeping prime at basically zero.
No, I’m sure that China is going to undermine the dollar to devalue the ridiculous amount of T-bills they hold for the yuan, which they have to artificially stabilize to keep at a meh level.
That makes sense.
That’s what i fear as well. That the left will cheat enough on enough votes after the election to swing it to Biden.
Then the libs will try to make us Venezuela.
I don’t believe most of them actually want Venezuela, save for the Justice Democrat faction and Bernie. Certainly not the ones that are in my life, nor the posters that engage in this forum. The honest disconnect is between good intentions and the harsh practical impossibilities of implementing a European-style social welfare state for 330+ million people.

you hear what you want…as I hear what I want. What you write here is your own bias…just as what I write about Trump is my own bias. Him sounding bitter as hell is what you hear. Just like I hear Trump comes off like a huge oaf.

More than 60 percent of the country is angry and bitter with the way Trump has not handled the pandemic. The way he has washed his hands of it. In my opinion.

It’s not a possibility here, which is what they refuse to understand. Without abundant U.S. military spending during the Cold War era, the European welfare state wouldn’t exist. Until Google scrubs them, you can still find plenty of articles denoting the budgetary hemorrhaging of their healthcare systems that was already happening well before COVID-19. The migrant crisis disrupted the house of cards and is pushing their extravagant benefit system over the cliff. None of this is any kind of “change nothing” head-in-the-sand counterpoint, but we need to forge our own path rather than copying some of their failing models.

I just think the whole “trump washed his hands” of the virus is such BS.
Back in the spring libs were whining that he was getting too much air time for the daily briefing. Anyone who didn’t know this was a serious situation had to be either living in a cave or purely stupid.
Oh I know the Bob Woodward quote…but somehow the left has taken all the airtime dealing with the virus and forgotten that while grasping at that one interview…it’s ridiculous.
And how many governors wanted to make sure they stayed in charge…they had to run their state’s response. Hell four liberal Democrat east coast states are responsible for a sizeable portion of the deaths. I m shocked that idiot governor in New York hasn’t gotten his ass sued for all the people he killed in nursing homes.
When the virus hit the Trump administration restocked the country’s supply of PPE…provided hospital ships…built mobile hospitals where needed, ramped up ventalator production, didn’t both cuomo and newsom in California compliment the President on giving them whatever they needed?
And now we are close on a vaccine, in record time.
Trump did not wash his hands if the virus. That is a lie. If 60% of the people believe that then the lying agenda driven leftist media has done its job I guess.

Correct, and we can pull plenty of videos of Democrats crying over travel bans while encouraging people to visit Chinatown or NYC restaurants - we saw what happened to NYC in the aftermath. But was resuming the Trump rallies immediately after he left Walter Reed, as if nothing had ever happened, the smart play? It was reckless and bad for optics.

I don’t have a big problem with the resumption of rallies…(I can see libs now…clutching their pearls “oh God Super spreader events how could you???).
People are living their lives…people are sick of being told to stay home. Cases are up…ok…death rates are declining. 99.99% of the people who get the virus will recover. It’s a virus…I’m a fan of Scott Atlas (now libs are totally spazzing out). Take great care of people who are the most vulnerable…absolutely. Trust the rest of the people to live their lives. Lockdowns don’t work.

The answer is they don’t have a great plan…go find Karl Rove’s piece about Biden on Joy Reid’s show spouting about what he would do…it was all the same stuff Trump had already done.
