You are right. Her actions were violent. But she also didn’t pose an immediate threat of grave harm or death to anyone. THAT is the bottom line to justify using deadly force to stop a person, even a violent one. THAT justification apply to anyone who confronts someone who is breaking the law including cops.

The “Castle Doctrine” is the exception to the rule. If someone breaks into your house, by law, “imminent” has already been established.

So you condone killing people for what you think they might do? If that’s the case, we are all fair game … even you.

Are you not aware that punishment for crimes not committed is unconstitutional unless the commission of the crime is imminent? She could have been arrested and charged with numerous crimes, but harm to Congesspeople or cops or anyone else are not among them.

We all saw how effective the Democrats were running against Trump in Virginia.

For which she should have been arrested and charged. But not killed.

It doesn’t matter what she thought she was going to do. The only thing that matters is what she did.

Now if you ask me what would have happened had she gotten through the window, I’d say that I think the SWAT Team that was on her heels would gave had her on her face and in cuffs before she could turn towards the door where the cop who shot her was cowering.

It’s not just felons. There are an astounding number of law abiding people who believe that no felon can ever have a gun due to that lie.

Agreed. This was specific. :stuck_out_tongue:

If someone breaks a window in your house and starts crawling through it you can legally shoot them in most states.

Can you name one?

What was her intention?

He was stopping the entire mob, not a single person.

Never become a defense attorney.

Let me know when he’s charged lol. You have to take the situation as a whole.

He says as if he ever came into contact with our justice system. Love the irony of the left saying well, the cops investigated and said it’s all good.

Yep. As I pointed out, the so-called “castle doctrine” says that is an imminent threat. That doctrine does not apply here.

Sure. Throw a hissy fit as she is thrown on her face and cuffed by the SWAT team which was standing immediately behind her, while officer Byrd held her at gunpoint.

The same as her thoughts … which were known only to her.

Why do you keep asking? Surely you know that a cop is not justified in shooting you for what he thinks that you might be thinking.

There were nearly as many cops in that location as there were protesters. And the protest in the rest of the building occupied by the bulk of the mob continued for quite some time. In other words, the only thing he stopped was her life.
