This is what I don’t understand. I’ve been anti-trump even before he got the nomination. On this board myself and many others were automatically put in the Lib category because of it. Not only is 45 not a conservative he does not have the country well being in mind and folks are not holding him accountable.
Libs must think Marx was a disciple of Jesus… or that somehow - just by random chance - all the socialist tenets line up with good Christianity.

they believe that morals are framed as class interests. They see feeding the poor as nothing but a political activity… not an act of love. Likewise, they want no person should rely on faith for their manna. To a socialist, one person giving to another is simply an inefficient means of distribution. It’s a mentality of having to categorize everyone. And usually it stems from an “us vs them” mentality.

For some, there isn’t room for more than one group. Notice a lot of threads are started as “Democrats” or “Liberals”, meaning everyone who opposes my opinion.
I don’t completely disagree with you but I’d also add that it’s due to the “attack mode” against a Trump supporter that categorizes so many into one opposing group.
There are multiple areas of political thought that could be used for a more accurate placement of one’s views in a sociopolitical plane. But the only one that matters here is TRUMP. Show me otherwise.
Show me how many threads have no mention of Trump here. It is minuscule if not zero. Should there not be threads on free trade that have no mention of the current administration? Same with immigration, budget, Mideast unrest, etc etc.
But there are none.
I’m sure there are fighters in any war who do not share all the beliefs of their leaders. But if you wear the uniform and attack ours, then you are counted on that side.

And to use a counter-argument, 8 years of the previous administration…almost every subject included him. Immigration, debt, economy, world issues.
Everything gets politicized, everything. Nutjob who shot at the congressional baseball game…he was a liberal who hated Trump. Why does it have to go there?
How many issues don’t involve what the current administration is doing? Economy? Could discuss trends, forecasting, but many immediately go “Trump is winning! He made the economy this great.” Mideast conflicts? “Trump desolated ISIS.”
How about you start a thread that doesn’t immediately blame liberals for all the woes of the world and puts Trump on a pedestal?
