Democratic Sen. Chris Coons raised eyebrows throughout Washington Thursday; saying the public harassment of GOP politicians and uncivil behavior surrounding Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination process was “well justified.”
Coons was speaking with MSNBC’s Chuck Todd this week when he was asked to weigh-in on the full-fledged liberal opposition to President Trump’s pick to join the Supreme Court.
"There is a huge amount of passion. Dozens of people were arrested in the course of the hearings… I think that’s well justified because of the level of fear and anxiety,” said Sen. Coons.
