Let me get this straight you want to let violent criminals back out on the street to crime some more because they are poor?
While at the same time you want to remove the guns from some citizen who has not commited a crime because some scared karen used your new red flag laws?

Did I say violent criminals? The courts can and do refuse bail to those individuals who are accused of violent crimes. That happens in countries where cash bail is non existent.

There are thousands of none violent individuals accused of none violent crimes that are denied their liberty because they do not have the financial means to do so. If you cannot see anything wrong with that, then thats on you.

So, let me get this straight … you’re advocating for an all or nothing system where some alleged criminals get put back on the street with nothing more than a promise that they will be good and will show up on time for their trial, while others will be held in jail, perhaps for years, until their case is adjudicated in court? And you consider that a more just system than cash bail?

Bail in the UK is normally with or without conditions. With conditions tends to require someone to check into their local police station at set intervals.

Violence can range anywhere from threatening behavior and verbal assault to rape and murder. Someone has to make the decision … let 'em walk or keep them locked up. What if they decide wrong?
