Well apparently Volker was wrong and cost everyone a lot of money.

In fact @Guilds…it’s seems you don’t know what Neo means.

Oh and do not discount North Sea oil production in the early 1980s that broke OPEC as a factor in the success of the economy in the Reagan years.

Volcker was precisely correct.

That’s a fair statement. And FDR and all of them in-between.

No it didn’t.

He was? We had to remove the extra money in the economy? How much have we been printing lately again?

It did…only recently and by non-sustainable means have we exceeded US oil production from 1970-71.

Also do not discount that our 1940s-1960s global dominance was due partly to the fact the rest of the world’s industrialized economies were in a shambles from World War II and we were slow to adapt when they began to offer serious competition.

No it didn’t. This country has never been close to peak production of anything. Not even during WWII.

9.64 mbpd was the most the US produced until we started using non-sustainable means to produce more in the last decade or so.

What does a governor on an engine do?

We don’t know what the production capacity of this country is.

The long march through the institutions to Mediocrityville.

Fascist = social democrats.

The dialectic is alive and well.

You no doubt believe this wrongness.

 Hard to accept?

For your ilk, yes. Funny, really, when you think about it. You’re hunting yourselves through the brambles of the internet.

We had this discussion months ago.

Neither you or SF were familiar with the term. You accused me of making it up…
I provided links…and you both still denied it was a real term. And even played the “you do not know what “neo” means” card.

I do not care enough to search the threads…not worth my time.

The dialectic is your ilk.

What does Neo mean Guild?

You will remain not even wrong long enough for it to be tragic, however much I personally enjoy the homage to irony.
