Want to bet? I’m seeing comments like this all over my Facebook page.

It’s amazing - a lot of people voted for Trump because solely on being pro - life. Then we see crap like this.

I guess being pro - life is only cool as long as it doesn’t cost anything with some.

When other people’s lives are broken down into generic economic units it makes complete sense.

He is referencing their attempts/trials to use anti-malarial, and now Ebola medications on Clovid-19. Most likely remdesivir, but it is simply hope right now, with an anecdotal story of someone in Italy potentially having recovered quicker using it,

Ah, ok. I didn’t see how in the world an actual cure could be out there and it not be all over the news.

As you can expect, those news stories are sensational. Our host is focusing lots of time on it.

Why not? You don’t think people die as the result of economic collapse?

Indeed. I stand corrected.

What are you talking about?

How many Americans died from malnutrition during the great depression? As compared to letting this virus take it’s course?

He also needs to stop talking about the number of cases if he wants to get re elected. The admin is not failing at their job. They messed (family site euphemism) up on a couple of fronts but over all they are doing ok. He just needs to stop touting low numbers. It’s silly.

We’ve had the New Deal and the War on Poverty since then. Anyone hurting for healthy food as a result of the economic downturn should be able get what they need from a robustly funded food stamps program.

I agree. Just give the numbers, no characterization needed. One of the few good things about numbers.

Ya they suck

Trump found a cure using thoughts and prayers :muscle:

There was no unemployment insurance or food stamps during the Great Depression.

I was completely baffled that not a single one of the medical professionals who stood at the podium and spoke today with Trump during his press briefing mentioned that we have a cure??? It must be an 11-dimension chess move on Trump’s part.

While real people’s lives hang in the balance. Sounds about par for the course for Trump.

It’s not a cure from what I am reading it is shown to lower symptoms and they are testing on whether it could be used to prevent the spread.

Supposedly China has been using it :man_shrugging: I think the positive is that a German company Bayer is sending the U.S. 3,000,000 pills so I am assuming they think there is some positives there we can hope. Even if it helps treat the virus and lessen the symptoms it would be a God send at this point.

This is the best source I could find on it if interested they talk about the trials and the success ratio without all the political garb thrown in the article.
