You are absolutely correct in that comment! And I have pointed that out for many, many years ____ an existing Congress cannot, under our Constitution, bind the hands of a future Congress, any attempt to do so would be an act to circumvent our constitutionally limited Republican Form of Government.
All I am pointing out with respect to protecting our border against illegall border crossings is, Congress has reneged on legislation specifically adopted to “prevent and deter the illegal entry of aliens into the United states” for 35 years.
This is why I believe President Trump must not cave in and surrender his leverage with respect to the current partial government shutdown. Congress must be forced to make good on its 35 year old legislation to “prevent and deter the illegal entry of aliens into the United states” Our country’s general welfare depends on it!
