I support the President with respect to the absolute necessity of securing our border in a manner which would prevent the following kind of invasion which took place on New Year’s Day … an invasion proving that puny fences don’t work:
I remember quite clearly in 1985 when 2.5 million illegal entrants were granted amnesty in return for the Democrat Leadership’s guarantee a wall would be built and our border secured. And here we are today with 10-15 million new illegal entrants and our border is still not secured. And so, on this particular subject I do support President Trump and millions upon millions of American Citizens who are suffering the devastating social and financial impact of illegal border crossings who want our border secured once and for all!
Why is there such resistance among the democrat members of Congress in approving a measly $5.7 billion to secure our border and build a wall where the geographical terrain calls for one?
How many more American citizens have to be killed by illegal entrants, before our border is secured? How many more mothers will be permanently separated from their children who are killed by an illegal entrant, or a child is permanently separated from its parents because an illegal entrant has killed them, while the Democrat Party Leadership refuses to fulfil its 1985 promise and constitutional duty as commanded in our Constitution and “repel” this ongoing invasion?
If President Trump does not hold firm on the absolute necessity of securing our border, not only will he be allowing the shameless Democrat Party Leadership to continue reneging on its 1985 guarantee to build a wall and secure our border, but he will be turning his back on millions of American citizens who now, at this very moment, are suffering the devastating impact of illegal border crossings and illegal immigration.

Yes. That’s a good link. Thank you. Sincerely. Unfortunately that is part of the 10% that is being spent of the allocated funds. My question is in regards to the other 90% of allocated funds from last year that remain available still to be spent. Why has that money not been put towards securing the border already? Shouldn’t they spend most of what they have before asking for more?

Sigh. Another day draws to a close on the Trump Christmas/New Year Shutdown. I am so tired of the games he is playing.
Yeah! Let’s do some math… $145M for six (6) miles of wall… Let’s assume we only need to build 1600 more miles and the border will be “secure”… $145M divided by 6 equals about $24.1M per mile… 1600 times $24.1M equals… around $38 billion… Why only ask for $5 billion when the real cost is $38 billion?
