Let us be clear. President Trump cannot shut down the federal government!

All by himself? No. He doesn’t have that power.

Trump Christmas/New Year Shutdown? Under our Constitution our President has no control over legislation other than veto power. And even his veto can be overruled by a two thirds vote. So, how is it Trump’s “Christmas/New Year Shutdown”? Seems to me those in the Senate refusing to vote for H.R.695 which passed the House, a spending bill which would fund the government, are far more responsible for shutting down the government than Trump can be accused of.

Why are democrats in the Senate refusing to pass a bill which promotes the general welfare of the united States by protecting her borders?

Illegal immigration is now costing American citizens over $18 billion a year in healthcare costs alone, far more than the measly $5 billion asked for to build a wall! LINK

Today the House is going to pass bills to fund the government. They will be sent to the Senate, where very likely, Mitch McConnell won’t even allow them to come to the floor.

You are going to need to change your spiel.

And why would you make such a claim?

Because Mitch said he wouldn’t put any bill up in Senate to fund the government that Donald won’t sign.

Why would Mitch believe Trump would not sign a bill?

That’s a fair point… We all know the president lies but I think we can take his word this time… So after the house passes a bill with not funding and sends it to the senate, it will be McConnell’s shutdown?

It’s Mitch’s and Donald’s shut down already.

Then why did you insinuate that Federal employees are not average Americans?

Trump told him.

Although the real question might be why would anyone believe anything Trump says but it’s clear that Trump is the reason for the shutdown after he backed out of the original deal.

How will the $5B be spent johnwk2? Why are you avoiding this question johnwk2? Where are the details johnwk2? Why has the administration only spent about 10% of the prior $1.6B allocated to them by the last spending legislation johnwk2?

A better question would be asking why the Trump Administration has only spent 10% of the allocated funds for border security given to them last year? It seems they are not interested in promoting the general welfare of the United States by using allocated monies to protect the border. Why are you not up in arms over that reality johnwk2?

Seriously?

Do you believe Donald will sign a bill funding agencies now shut down without any funding for the wall?

If you understood good business practices, which are apparently unknown to most democrats, you would know you do not, under any circumstances, give full payment to contractors up front. You wait until the job is completed and they give payment in full. The money you speak of is already under contract, and will be dolled out upon completion of ongoing border security construction jobs.

Already under contract you say? Okay, show us the proof of this.

After you back up this claim (which I believe is not truthful) then can you detail where the $5B will be spent for us? Specifics please.

You didn’t answer the question.

American citizens are sick and tired of being made into tax-slaves to finance the economic needs of millions of poverty stricken, poorly educated, low and unskilled aliens who have invaded America’s borders.

I answered your question. If you don’t like my answer . . . to bad.

Acting Deputy Commissioner announces wall projects in El Centro, San Diego, Santa Teresa, Rio Grande Valley

Construction of the border wall is underway, as several projects begin to take shape along the Southwest border. One project will begin within days, according to Ronald Vitiello, U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s acting deputy commissioner.

“We’re on track to replace 20 miles of primary vehicle barrier in Santa Teresa, New Mexico,” he told reporters during a Friday afternoon news conference in Washington, D.C. “Ground breaking is scheduled for early April.”

The projects span the Southwest border from San Diego to the Rio Grande Valley Sector in Texas.

There is no surer way to weaken, subdue and then conquer a prosperous and freedom loving people than by allowing and encouraging the poverty stricken, poorly educated, low-skilled, criminal and diseased populations of other countries to invade that country, and make the country’s existing citizens tax-slaves to support the economic needs of such invaders.
