The coke bottle solution is a great in-the-moment fix for the anecdote in this thread. But it doesn’t address the thread’s title.
Our legal system is screwed up.
I’ll submit that I think the driver in question was a bonehead for continuing to move his car forward. You just don’t do that. (Heck, if it was a work zone, those workers would have a port-a-potty somewhere nearby.) But we have too many people in authority who have become drunk on whatever power is vested to them.
