Once there are enough votes to transition the US the socialism come back with a compiled list of all the family owned farms and businesses and we’ll figure it out from there.
I’m arguing against your ignorance on socialism, not presenting a detailed plan that I intend to carry out. I’m not even a socialist.
That’s not the goal of socialism. The goal of socialism is to end a person profiting off another person’s labor.
If that’s the goal every socialist country in the world has failed miserably since that’s never even been their goal.
Until you’ve put multiple generations into building something you cannot fathom what it means to that family so you cannot assign a fair value to their generations of sacrifice to build it.
Only in a free market where they agree on the compensation can there be “fair and just compensation”.
Yea, no ■■■■■ Socialism isn’t going to work when the leaders of a country are exploiting their citizens’ labor.
I understand… but what you’re saying doesn’t change anything in this argument. There are too many unknown variables for me to provide a prescription to that situation. Maybe all the small family farms and businesses by this hypothetical point in the future where there are a enough votes to fully transition to Socialism have been forcefully bought up by mega-corporations. Maybe you’re wrong and after generations these families are ready to convert their businesses to co-ops. Maybe in this future small businesses and farms are allowed to remain. Who knows.
Socialism does not preclude worker’s agreeing on compensation with their employer.
