In California I sadly believe Gavin Newsom will still be the Governor tomorrow.

Newsom will probably think he got a mandate and will double down on stupid…Good honest decent middle class people will continue to leave California…realtors in Texas and Florida will thank the voters for missing a golden opportunity to change the once golden state for the better.

As @JimmyC kindly above, the State of UT had an article done in 2016 talking about hole sin ballots as well. Republican Executive and Legislature. The primary reason was ensuring the ballots were removed form the envelopes and not mistakenly discarded. The holes provide a secondary measure though beyond visually seeing them. They put zip-ties through the holes. If they couldn’t get the zip-tie through, it means they missed a ballot.

So yeah… traditions, and really just common sense stuff. No wonder you all struggle with this…

There’s no rational explanation for having holes in an envelope contains a ballot, so instead of saying, “Yeah, that’s off. They should correct that,” libs are coming out of the woodwork proclaiming traditions from another state (that just happens to be very liberal)…party over country.
