My parents always hoped for more from us then construction. The only one that stuck with construction is my little bro but he is an engineer. However dad still puts him in his place frequently.

But you are right, trade skills are an art form and one that does not get the recognition it deserves.

For us growing up it was about learning the value of work, standing behind what your putting out, learning a skill and money.

I’m sure there are others, nurses, doctors and restaurants etc.

Had a girlfriend that was Venezuelan, when it came to religion, family and social views it was match.

We also had a Chilean family in our congregation and same experience.
