King j’biden’s supreme court commission

Seriously, what is there to look at regarding whether to pack the court or not? There is one and only one reason to pack the court, and that is to put a bunch of politicians in there who agree with your policies. Takes no commission to decide that. You declare political war and pack it or you don’t.

If you are going to pack it, then you select a bunch of people who will tell you what you wanted them to tell you and then say you are doing it because they studied it and decided you should do it.

Which is why I say he is seriously considering it. The commission is only to give him cover, because he can say just what you are saying above. Someone else made the decision, he’s just taking the recommendation and putting it into practice based on their “expertise”. Covering his ass as far as blowback.

People arguing what’s happening isn’t really happening is astounding.

I asked you before… who are the nominees for the Supreme Court under this administration

Literally nobody is arguing that the commission isn’t happening

The rest of your post is conjecture at best.

That’s not a very good question, is it? They have to pass a court packing law before they can select the leftists for it.
The only reason for wanting to pack the court is because you want your own politicians to sit on it. Have you not seen the argument by leftists that the court is “out of balance”, meaning they fear it is no longer dominated by the left?

It’s a stupid argument that the courts are out of balance

People make a lot of bad arguments

The fact remains that no matter how much hair pulling there is over a commission and its forgone conclusions, there is no sign that it is anything but meat for the base.

Of course they aren’t saying it isn’t happening, NOW. Before he was elected, immediately after he got into office, we heard the standard ‘you guys are nuts, he’s not going to pack the court. He’s not even going to consider it.’ talk from liberals.

Now the line is ‘well, it’s just a commission, it doesn’t mean anything’.

Stupid and dishonest question. You know well that they aren’t going to nominate someone when there are not the seats available. That is why they are proposing packing the court.

No he and that’s who this thread is about is putting together a commission that will draft a report that then everyone can debate after 2022 or may be after 2024

Every post in this thread reading into this that the goal here is to pack the court is dishonest conjecture . Because old man bad

I’ll get on the barricades with you when it goes passed red meat

Biden now says he supports the District of Colombia being a state because of justice and stuff. Nobody believes that. Dems want two more permanent Senators.
They have a 50/50 Senate and the smallest control of the House and have gone completely power mad.
With HR1 they want to establish favorable voting laws for themselves, they want to grab Puerto Rico and DC to get extra permanent Senators, they want to put their politicians in charge of the Supreme Court.
After four years of complaining about alleged authoritarianism they are going for the full Venezuela mode.
This will not end well, or easily.

Guys seriously.

You need a constitutional amendment to admit dc.

Seriously…

“Lock her up lock her up”

Appeasing the base.

The land DC occupies that was annexed to make the District a “Federal City” could simply be returned to Maryland and Virginia. Might put a couple of new Reps in the House but no extra senators.
Nah bad idea. Screw ‘Ol Joey from Scranton

Maryland doesn’t want it back? Tough. I’m sure much of Georgia doesn’t want Atlanta either.
Everybody knows this is only about two permanent Dem Senators. Some may say it isn’t. I don’t believe they believe it.
