The party at the time was democrat. However their ideology was conservative.

Please quote the post where I or “the left” demonize him. Thanks.

What standards?

And What makes that “powerful”?

This kind of talk puts the fear in Leftists. The only way they can win with their socialist agenda is to divide people.

King said, “I am an African-American woman, 69-year-old, and almost everyone I’m speaking with, whether they are Republican, Democrat, Independent, some don’t vote, various perspectives … people are saying our wages are up, out family is being united.”

No, I am saying southern democrats during Jim Crow were not conservatives. As for the confederate, modern definitions of liberal and conservative are not applicable. And there is certainly nothing conservative about slavery.

The power to establish one’s own standards is one of the greatest powers there is.

Your claim

The most conservative tenet is states rights. Also preserving traditions. What did all of the succession papers say?

No, the chief conservative tenet is liberty. For everyone.

What was the southern Democrats fighting for between 1861 and 1865? The left owes you reparations. Oh yeah…you are the left. Ok…take some money out of your left pocket and place it in your right one. That’ll make it all better. :sunglasses: :tumbler_glass:
