I saw Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair over the weekend and loved it.
I enjoyed watching Quentin Tarantino’s combination of Kill Bill Vol. 1 & 2 for one 4 & a half hour movie. Such a great epic movie with stunts and wonderful performances.
There used to be a website/app called Run Pee that would tell you the timings of a movie that you could go pee and not miss anything of importance. It morphed into the app called Just Watch.
Movie theaters used to build in time for intermission on their schedule when they had an epic longer than 3 -3 1/2 playing.
Bathroom, smoke, concession or just get up and move around breaks were kind of expected. Of course most of those houses were running reel to reel projectors where a break could easily be taken every 20 minutes at the reel changes and didn’t have to be programmed in. And the house lights for the entire building could be flashed to signal break over.
until theatres realized cutting intermissions allowed for more screenings per day, kept people in their seats and in turn increased concession sales boosting profits.
